Reporting New Members to Your State Federation

Reporting members to GFWC Headquarters is just one step. The other VERY important step is to follow the guidelines for your state when sending in dues, names, and contact information for your newly recruited members. If you have questions about the process please contact your state membership chairman or state treasurer.

The Winter campaign is “Flurry of Members” (December, January, and February) with reports due March 1.

FREE MONEY!

District and Club Membership Grants

Funding is available to help underwrite membership recruiting and rebuilding in your community. GFWC is offering $50 for club member recruitment programs and $100 for district new club building programs. With very little effort, you can apply for the funding necessary to conduct a successful recruiting event or new club formation project.   Go to www.GFWC.org and look in the Member Center for details and to download the application.

Annual Reports—It is not too early to start to remind clubs that reports are right around the corner. It is so much easier to start to gather the needed information BEFORE the busy Holiday season.  With the reports under control you can enjoy the season and then have your report ready to go after the arrival of the New Year.

PLEASE become familiar with the instructions for clubs to report in your state AND for clubs to report to GFWC.  To review GFWC reporting details please go to www.GFWC.org/ClubManual and download the GFWC Reporting Guidelines and the reporting form.

Know that I am a click of a mouse or phone call away if you need anything for your membership efforts.

Star Recruitment Pins are GFWC’s recruitment incentive for clubwomen. The award is a small, star-shaped pin with a butterfly clasp and a chain that attaches to the stem of the GFWC Member Pin. This award is cumulative and crosses administrations. There are five levels. GFWC members who recruit:

o Five to nine new members receive a white star

o 10 to 14 new members receive a red star

o 15 to 19 new members receive a blue star

o 20 to 24 new members receive a silver star

o 25 or more new members receive a gold star

CLUBS: Send the name of the recruiter and the names and contact information of the active, dues-paying new members to your state membership chairman. Only your state membership chairman is able to order the pins from GFWC. Questions about GFWC Star Recruitment Pins should be directed to your state membership chairman which is Patti Poe.
